Senior Energy Engineer

Manhattan or Philadelphia

$120,000 - $180,000 DOE + Hybrid Working + Medical + Dental + Generous 401k + PTO

Excellent opportunity for an ambitious and highly-motivated Energy Engineer to build upon their previous experience and take a step up into a Senior-level position where they can hold a significant degree of responsibility across a variety of Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency projects.

This specialist Energy company works with a range of commercial, industrial, residential, retail, leisure and hospitality clients to deliver turnkey solutions relating to Energy Efficiency/Conservation and Carbon Reduction Measures. They have delivered groundbreaking projects including the largest Geothermal system in New York, and they are now expanding their Philadelphia and New York offices.

In this role you will be leading a team involved in the planning, design and delivery of a variety of Sustainable Energy construction & retrofit projects. This will also involve inputting into the initial proposal stage through energy modelling, conducting feasibility studies and presenting to new & existing clients.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years post-graduate experience in an Engineering discipline, and will have at least 2 years of experience specifically in Energy Engineering, Energy Auditing, Energy Management or similar. While not essential, LEEP AP/CEM/CEA/CMVP accreditations will be highly advantageous.

The role:

* Developing conceptual and detailed engineering solutions to support clients in achieving technical, environmental and financial goals

* Working with a variety of Renewable Energy & Energy Efficient solutions e.g Heat Pumps, LED Lighting, HVACR upgrades etc.

* Carrying out site assessments for prospective retrofit projects

* Carrying out assessments across project lifecycle, calculating potential energy savings and developing proposals, scopes, schedules, budgets and plans necessary to secure high-value contracts

* Providing technical input into client-facing presentations during proposal stage

* Assisting with project commissioning and handover

The Person:

* Educated to Degree level in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or similar

* 6+ total years post-graduate experience in the field of Engineering

* At least 2 years’ experience in Energy Engineering, Energy Auditing, Energy Management or similar

* CEM, CEA, CMVP, LEED AP certifications highly advantageous but not essential

* Active driving license
