Cedarbrae Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Supervisor to help lead day-to-day store operations across our unique retail spaces along Front Street. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership position, enjoys supporting a team, and is passionate about creating a top-tier customer experience.

As a Retail Supervisor, you’ll work closely with store management to oversee floor operations, mentor staff, manage shop organization, and contribute to an engaging, customer-first environment. You’ll also play an active role in associate development, scheduling coordination, and inventory support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, support, and motivate sales associates to meet daily goals
  • Delegate tasks and follow up to ensure completion
  • Lead by example to uphold customer service standards and encourage team success
  • Train and onboard new staff; provide ongoing development and feedback
  • Support store hiring, scheduling, and daily coverage planning
  • Maintain visual and operational standards in all retail spaces
  • Assist with merchandise handling, including damaged goods and restocking
  • Oversee opening/closing procedures and cash handling
  • Ensure adherence to all Cedarbrae policies and procedures
  • Provide regular feedback to the General Manager on employee performance
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in a supervisory or team lead role (1–3 years preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of retail operations and customer service principles
  • Well-organized with attention to detail
  • Confident in resolving customer or staff issues calmly and effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory or POS software systems

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Frequent walking and movement between store locations
  • May require occasional use of ladders or step stools for merchandising
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Full-time availability required (32+ hours per week)
