POSITION OVERVIEW

The Temporary Quality Control Associate is responsible for completing data entry, visual quality control, and phone verification calls to voter registration applicants in Blocks, a quality control and data management platform or through manual data entry. This role involves digitizing submitted forms, reviewing submitted forms for errors, verifying information according to state and organizational guidelines, and maintaining quality standards across all voter registration activities. The QC Associate will be responsible for processing a set number of cards per day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Control Associate, reports to the Data Director and is responsible for the following:

  • Scan and redact voter registration forms
  • Conduct data entry of submitted forms
  • Conduct visual quality control on voter registration forms
  • Identify incomplete registration forms
  • Conduct verification calls to registration applicants
  • Flag technical flags and actual errors with collected voter registration cards
  • Following up with organizations and partners on Quality Control flags (late upload, unredacted forms, etc.)
  • Verify voter registration information against the state voter file
  • Other tasks as required by the Data Director
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Handle documents with confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, oral and written communications skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat suites
  • Ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines
  • Diplomatic, professional approach to problem-solving
  • Experience working in coalition with partners or experience working in diverse communities, particularly in communities of color
  • Ability to learn new skills and software platforms quickly

  • Avoids and reports potentially unsafe conditions. Uses equipment and materials properly.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One or two cycles of experience in community organizing and civic engagement are preferred.
  • Experience with voter registration is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

LOCATION

The position is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and supports a remote schedule with some required travel (10%).

COMPENSATION: Competitive pay rate of $26.44 per hour.
