ABOUT US

L+ARC Lighting Design is a lighting design firm founded in 2021 with a mission to provide high quality lighting design for our award winning design clients. We specialize in the areas of hospitality, high end residential, commercial, arts and education, and bespoke lighting controls designs. We value respect, collaboration, and work-life balance within the team. Our team was born out of an entrepreneurial spirit to bring high quality lighting design to the Southeast US market, which otherwise was slim on lighting design resources. Lighting design is an ever evolving field of design and we aim to serve as stewards for lighting design, protecting the night sky, and transforming spaces with light and shadow. We are seeking a lighting designer to join our team. We're looking for a creative, curious, and driven designer to join our Greenville, SC office. 

ABOUT YOU

You will have strong background in lighting design whether primarily in theater, entertainment, architecture or a mix. We value hands on practical experience with lighting in addition to design studio experience. You will have experience with lighting control systems, whether the design, programming, or installation in some manner for entertainment, theme parks or architectural spaces. You will have ability to work independently and be resourceful to research and problem solve throughout the creative process.

You have the ability to interface with Revit & BIM360, Vectorworks or AutoCAD, AGI32 and/or Dialux, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Preference for experience also with: Twinmotion, Rhino, Sketchup.

We operate as an in person studio in both Greenville, SC and Knoxville, TN. You will primarily be in person in Greenville ideally, while allowing for hybrid/remote flexibility. Remote applicants will be considered on a case by case basis if located within the Southeast US.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in theater, architecture or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant lighting design experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of lighting across all design and construction phases

  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills

JOB TYPE

Full-time 40hrs per week

Pay: $50,000 - $60,000

Final compensation is based on cost of living, experience, education, and qualifications.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Work Location: In Person / Hybrid
