Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Accounting/Finance Consultant to join their team! This position is located in San Francisco, California or Atlanta, Georgia.

Duties:

  • Prepare or review revenue recognition assessments related to key SOX controls over the company’s SSP methodologies
  • Lead revenue analysis and preparation of metrics to enhance SSP insights, identify trends, and surface trends to leadership and business partners
  • Participate in cross-functional work streams to ensure risks related to SSP program are mitigated
  • Support audit requests from internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth quarterly and year-end review and audit processes
  • Lead process design and system implementation related to new product offerings or M&A to ensure scalable revenue processes
  • Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend solutions
  • Implement and enhance automation to drive efficiency for the SSP program
  • Draft memos and presentations to gain alignment with and influence the team’s business partners
  • Provide technical accounting support to Revenue Management Teams

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in accounting or relevant field
  • MBA or master's degree is a plus
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting
  • 3+ years focused on revenue recognition or revenue accounting
  • CPA designation is highly desirable
  • Experience in a public company environment, with familiarity in working under SOX compliance and SEC reporting
  • Strong background in applying ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers, and other relevant accounting standards
  • Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and solve problems in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to articulate verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to appropriately explain difficult issues
  • Ability to think quickly and thoughtfully
  • Advanced Excel and/or Tableau skills a plus
