Job Description:

Under general supervision, the selected candidate will edit and review documents for system applications and related communications for the Georgia DHS – Division of Family and Children Services.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Edit and review agency system applications for grammar and style.
• Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging.
• Ensure compliance with AP Style guidelines.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing/editing.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong command of AP Style.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred:

• Experience writing for government entities.
