Job Description

IQVIA is seeking a talented and driven **Statistician with a strong background in artificial intelligence and data science** to join our Services Delivery team. This is a high-impact role where you will work with complex financial datasets to solve critical business challenges for life science clients. As part of a fast-paced, innovative environment, you will apply advanced statistical techniques, machine learning models, and AI-driven methodologies to develop actionable insights and scalable analytics products. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for problem solving. You will also serve as a key liaison between our analytics team and client account teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project goals. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; Master's degree preferred + 4+ years of experience in data science or similar roles, preferably in healthcare or life sciences + Strong programming skills in Python with proficiency in scikit-learn, XGBoost, and statistical modeling libraries + Advanced SQL skills, particularly with SQL Server, including complex queries with CTEs, stored procedures, and database optimization across various systems (PostgreSQL, Impala) + Experience with regression analysis, including linear/non-linear regression and regularization methods (LASSO, Ridge, Elastic Net) + Knowledge of feature engineering, selection methodologies, and hyperparameter tuning + Proficiency in big data technologies including PySpark and Hadoop ecosystem + Knowledge of NLP techniques from word embeddings to transformer architectures + Ability to develop and implement scalable machine learning solutions + Understanding of software development best practices including version control + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in team environments **Preferred Skills** + Experience in clinical trial data analysis or healthcare analytics + Familiarity with time series analysis and forecasting techniques + Understanding of advanced LLM techniques including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT), and function/tool calling capabilities + Familiarity with visualization tools like Spotfire or Power BI + Experience with deploying models in production environments IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $89,400.00 - $223,700.00.
