Email And Newsletter Specialist

The Email and Newsletter Specialist is responsible for creating, developing, and deploying engaging, innovative, and strategically targeted email communications across CHIME's marketing programs and DHX Media initiatives. This role supports the delivery of newsletters, promotional campaigns, and other email-driven outreach by transforming approved content into high-impact digital presentations within HubSpot. The specialist will manage stakeholder reviews, oversee audience segmentation, and monitor performance to continuously optimize results.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Develop and build dynamic, high-quality email campaigns using approved copy provided by the marketing and media teams.
  • Transform approved messaging into engaging, visually appealing, and interactive email templates that adhere to brand and accessibility standards.
  • Serve as the owner of CHIME's and DHX's newsletters, ensuring consistent production and adherence to publication cadences.
  • Plan and coordinate newsletter content on a weekly basis to ensure timely stakeholder review and approval.
  • Manage the end-to-end email review and approval process with all relevant stakeholders to achieve timely, accurate, and polished deployments.
  • Segment audience lists across CHIME and DHX's various membership and engagement initiatives, ensuring messages are highly targeted and relevant.
  • Collaborate with team members to tie email campaigns into HubSpot workflows and ensure appropriate follow-up and post-email actions are triggered.
  • Monitor and analyze email campaign performance, providing recommendations for optimization and reporting results to key stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, trends, and compliance requirements related to email marketing.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 25 years of experience in email marketing or newsletter production, preferably in a complex or enterprise-level environment.
  • Proven track record of building, testing, and deploying engaging, innovative email campaigns.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot or comparable marketing automation and CRM platforms.
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation, list management, and data-driven email marketing strategies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to creatively transform approved marketing and media copy into visually appealing email assets.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with email marketing performance metrics, reporting tools, and optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of email accessibility and best practices for responsive design.
  • Working knowledge of CAN-SPAM and other compliance regulations.
  • Ability to effectively work in a small team and member relationships to accomplish CHIME projects and goals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Discipline to successfully work without close supervision.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills, creativity, and strategic thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.

This is a remote based position. Some travel will be required. Must be located in the United States.
