The Role

As a Senior Data Scientist (Geospatial) , your responsibilities include:

• Developing scalable spatial statistical measurement designs for field teams.
• Designing advanced geospatial models for prediction and forecasting of environmental outcomes.
• Architecting and managing spatial data storage for efficient retrieval of large datasets.
• Conducting research into cutting-edge spatial sampling techniques.
• Collaborating with engineering teams on infrastructure and model deployment.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in agriculture, natural resources, environmental science, or remote sensing.
• Familiarity with environmental and remote sensing datasets.
• 5+ years' commercial / in industry experience taking data science models and applications and deploying them into real-world environments where they can be used for decision-making and automation.
• 5+ years in geospatial data science, spatial statistics, or applied machine learning.
• Deep proficiency in managing geographic data using RDBMS (e.g., PostGIS) and Python libraries (e.g., GeoPandas).
• Proven experience with spatial datasets and large-scale data processing.
• Solid understanding of spatial statistics and sampling methodologies.
