The Role

As a Senior Campaign Manager at Surfside, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of our clients’ performance media campaigns on our Demand Side Platform (DSP). You will serve as the go-to expert on campaign setup, trafficking, optimization, and performance tracking across various digital channels. In addition, you will mentor and guide junior Campaign Managers, share best practices, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Account Management. Your primary objective is to deliver outstanding campaign performance and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, launch, and optimize on-site and off-site digital advertising campaigns, focusing on driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Oversee campaign setup—including targeting, creative trafficking, testing, and quality assurance—ensuring launches meet deadlines and performance goals.
  • Provide ongoing performance analysis and actionable recommendations for improvement, leveraging data and insights.
  • Coach and mentor junior Campaign Managers, sharing technical know-how, best practices, and advanced optimization strategies.
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to troubleshoot platform issues, conceptualize automation features, and refine workflow processes.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to understand client objectives and communicate campaign strategies and results effectively.
  • Become an expert user of the Surfside DSP platform and develop a deep understanding of its capabilities.
  • Explore automation opportunities and implement repeatable processes to drive efficiency and scalability across campaign operations.
  • Conduct ongoing research on industry trends, new features, and emerging best practices to continuously raise the bar on campaign management.
  • Track key metrics such as CTR, ROAS, conversion rates, and other KPIs to evaluate campaign success.
  • Deliver clear, insightful performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders, translating data into strategic recommendations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing or advertising operations, preferably with a Demand Side Platform or similar ad tech environment.
  • Proven track record in executing and optimizing programmatic campaigns (display, video, native, or social).
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior team members is a plus.
  • Familiarity with campaign management tools, ad-serving platforms, and tracking technologies.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Typescript is a bonus (for troubleshooting campaign tags and identifying CSS selectors).
  • Comfort using analytics platforms and reporting dashboards to derive insights.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail with a keen eye on quality control throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; adept at collaborating cross-functionally and presenting to clients.
  • A curious, solutions-oriented mindset, always seeking ways to innovate and improve campaign performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
