Contract to hire

Sr Aerospace Engineer

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering required.
• (12+) years of experience in aerospace engineering and design, in both Military and Civil aviation
• CAD software (SOLIDWORKS ), and exposure to finite element modeling ( NASTRAN, FEMAP, ANSYS , or equivalent).
• Occasional travel to CONUS & OCONUS locations (Alaska, Hawaii, Asia, etc.); Passport Required

Preferred:

• Actual hand-on Structural Integration
• Knowledge and actual Participation in FAA STC Approval process; military Airworthiness process
• Experience with composites, fracture mechanics, and government regulations (FAA)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and test instrumentation
• Experience with basic principles of statics, dynamics, strength of materials, and stress calculations.
• Experience in using NASTRAN, AFGROW, and other analysis tools
