Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A School Social Worker position is available to support students across K-12 grade levels in a Los Lunas, NM school setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide critical social work services throughout the full school year, addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources to support student success
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
• Advocate for students welfare, ensuring access to appropriate services and supports
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
• Facilitate referrals and follow-up for external resources when appropriate

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Current licensure or certification as a Social Worker in New Mexico
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or community setting
• Strong knowledge of mental health, child development, and school-based interventions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidentiality according to ethical standards

• Position is based within a K-12 school setting in Los Lunas, New Mexico
