School Psychologist Job Near Baltimore, MD

Location: Onsite

School Year: 2024-2025

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will work onsite, providing a range of psychological services to students, parents, and school staff to support student learning and mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Provide counseling and mentoring to students on academic, emotional, and social issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement interventions and support strategies.
  • Conduct and participate in parent-teacher conferences and other meetings to discuss student progress and needs.
  • Lead and participate in crisis intervention and response efforts.
  • Offer professional development and training to staff on topics related to student mental health and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • State certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in school psychology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
