Sales Development Representative | Job Description

You will drive Revert Technologies’ go to market strategy, taking on sales and growth targets to expand our technology offering, which helps businesses save electricity and reduce their carbon footprint.

Major Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales prospecting activities via cold emails, calls, LinkedIn outreaches, events networking, and social media engagements.
  • Generate and qualify new customer leads and follow up with appointments.
  • Listen to prospective customers’ energy saving needs and preferences. Be able to clearly convey savings expectations to Revert’s customer success and tech teams.
  • Conduct on-site or online appliance assessments to optimize Revert Technologies energy efficiency solution.
  • Present product options, explain features and benefits in a clear and compelling way.
  • Follow a proven structured sales process that results in successful projects and satisfied customers.
  • Prepare and present accurate quotes and contracts for prospective customers.
  • Create a plan to integrate with energy efficiency companies who offer incentive programs and rebates with prospective customers and contractors.
  • Maintain strong communication with Revert’s customer success team to ensure seamless onboarding and project execution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry products, trends, and sales techniques.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Excellent persuasive skills, proven ability to close deals.
  • Excellent organization and lead management capabilities.
  • Ability to avoid technical jargon and explain concepts in a customer-friendly manner.
  • Ability to devise sales and growth strategies.
  • Comfortable conducting measurements and assessments in customers' businesses.
  • Validate driver’s license with a safe driving record. Occasional travel to client sites and events is expected.
  • Proficient with enterprise productivity tools, namely: Hubspot, Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft 365
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior sales experience.

Preferred Experiences

  • Prior IT or facility equipment sales experience in sectors such as commercial gyms, public school systems, universities, public and private offices, etc.
  • Prior energy saving solution sales experience: HVAC, programmable thermostats, LED lighting, insulation material, etc.
  • Energy auditing experience for homes or businesses.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $48,000-$60,000 base annual salary. $100,000 ~ $120,000 OTE.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits are 100% paid by the company.
  • Mentorship by highly experienced VC investor with significant sales experience

Location and Time

  • Hybrid: you have the autonomy to work from home or a dedicated office at ClimateHaven, Connecticut’s world-class climate tech incubator located at 770 Chapel St, New Haven, CT, 06510
