Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs for all heavy civil construction projects.
Conduct on-site safety training, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Serve as a mentor and trainer for field personnel, fostering a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
Investigate and document incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensure all employees receive proper safety training and certifications for heavy equipment, confined spaces, and hazardous environments.
Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions.
Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices to continuously improve safety protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
~7+ years of safety management experience in heavy civil construction.
~ Proven expertise in on-site safety training, inspections, and OSHA compliance.
~ Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, policies, and best practices.
~ Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
~ Ability to train and communicate safety procedures effectively across all levels of a construction team.
~ OSHA 30 or higher certification required; CSP, CHST, or other safety certifications preferred.
~ Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
