JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Residential Architectural Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for residential design, with a keen eye for spatial layouts, functionality, details, and appropriate construction practices. As a designer, you will be responsible for producing construction documents, creating exterior elevations and floor plans for single family residences.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or related field.
• Proven experience in residential design. 3+ years is a plus
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp (ArchiCAD is a plus).
• Experience in Lumion and/or other 3D related programs is a plus, but not required.
• Basic understanding of room layouts, furniture placement, and material specifications.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Portfolio showcasing previous designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create initial floor plan and elevation concepts to make each home desirable, on-trend, and unique.
• Present floor plan concepts to design team and make revisions based on their feedback.
• Provide design solutions that optimize space, functionality, and aesthetics.
• Collaborate with team to understand building requirements, design needs, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with interior designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure that floor plans are drawn accurately and efficiently.
• Complete precise construction documents with customizable detailed drawings. This includes floor plan, roof plan, exterior and interior elevations, wall sections, electrical plan, and site plan.
• Stay updated on current design trends, materials, and technologies.
• Work with clients to create customized home plans.
• Work with vendors and subcontractors, as necessary, to identify products that will achieve desired style.
