Job Description

LIQUI MOLY USA is seeking a candidate to fill a position in Regulatory Product Compliance as a time-limited contract role. Join our team and you will work with people who think positively about the future and are upbeat about life.

As a Regulatory Product Compliance Specialist specializing in Automotive Oil and Additives, you will be crucial in ensuring that our products comply with all applicable regulatory requirements, standards, EPR, and industry guidelines in all 50 states. You will work closely with our team in a time-limited contract role to navigate complex regulatory landscapes nationwide and maintain compliance throughout the product lifecycle in its entirety.

LIQUI MOLY is a leading manufacturer of OE-type high-quality motor oils, additives, and other lubricant products with headquarters located in Ulm, Germany. Since 1957 we have supplied the German marketplace with innovative quality oil and additive products for the automotive, powersports/marine, and industrial markets. In 1992 we began our sales effort in the United States and these past 10 years sales have grown significantly.

To continue our successful growth, we continue to expand our sales team. This contract opportunity provides an hourly range of $30-50 per hour , D.O.E.

* This time-limited contract position is fully remote.

Requirements

  • Navigate EPR regulations and filings in the federal landscape and applicable states .
  • Stay updated on current and emerging regulatory requirements, standards, and industry trends related to automotive oils and additives for all of our products.
  • Interpret and apply regulations from governing bodies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), CPSC, and other internal state and federal regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regulatory assessments of new and existing products to identify compliance gaps and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure product formulations, packaging, and notices align with regulatory requirements and restrictions.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory documentation to regulatory agencies, including providing our material safety data sheets (MSDS), product registrations, and compliance reports.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on regulatory matters in all 50 states, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders on compliance best practices.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with regulatory standards and identify areas for improvement for all of our products in all areas sold.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and standards, assessing their impact on product compliance and appropriate actions.
  • Support external audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies, providing necessary documentation and information for our products.
  • Participate in industry associations and working groups to stay informed about regulatory developments and contribute to shaping industry standards.

Must haves:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory product compliance within the automotive industry, preferably focusing on oil and additive products.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards for automotive oil and additives products, and EPR.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with regulatory submission and interactions with regulatory agencies is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in regulatory affairs or related fields are desirable.
  • Legally able to work in the USA with no restrictions.
  • Clear a background check.
  • Ability to use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
