Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Officer to join our team. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring our operations consistently meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry best practices, regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, HAZMAT), and customer specifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of equipment, facilities, and processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to established quality and safety protocols.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to drive impactful change.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders (including customers and suppliers) to address quality-related concerns and ensure alignment with expectations. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality materials and services.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing effective resolutions and preventive measures.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging best practices to continuously enhance the company's QMS.
  • Prepare and present reports to management on key quality performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or a related regulated industry.
  • Deep understanding of quality management principles, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, TQM, Six Sigma, Lean). Proven proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for quality improvement (e.g., Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, statistical process control, process capability analysis).
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive successful continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to the transportation industry (e.g., DOT regulations, HAZMAT safety standards) is required. Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
