CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by a Chemical Manufacturing client to identify a Plant Manager to join their team.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to lead our chemical manufacturing and distribution operations. This pivotal role requires a proven leader with a deep understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, distribution networks, and a commitment to Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement principles. The ideal candidate will ensure operational excellence, drive safety and compliance, and optimize efficiency while fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and provide leadership to lab techs and line auditors
• Develop direct reports
• Manage lab and line coverage – willing to work off shifts if needed
• Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure compliance to regulatory, customer and company requirements
• Reviews daily production schedule and adjusts the quality departments schedule to ensure testing and reporting are met
• Maintain proper lab supply inventory levels
• Review testing data/investigate out of spec results. Escalate out of spec data.
• Assist in customer complaint investigations
• Oversee quality programs and assist with implementation
• Review and maintain COAs for incoming truck deliveries
• Assist with continuous improvement projects
• Assist in hiring and training employees
• Ensure the Team follows GMPs and GDPs
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

What You'll Need

• Knowledge of 5S Practices
• Proficient in laboratory techniques, instrumentation and data analysis
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations such as GMP and GLP. (ISO standards are a plus)
• Strong decision-making skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• The ability to meet productivity goals and standards
• Excellent customer service skills
• Overtime/Weekends/Holidays will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
