In this dynamic and multi-faceted role, as the President & CEO of the Yountville Chamber, you will directly impact the success and vibrancy of the Town of Yountville.
This position requires a strong level of professional initiative and drive in your oversight of key operational and relationship building deliverables.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the incumbent has broad responsibilities which include:
Requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills, the president and CEO provides thoughtful leadership that creates a high level of enthusiasm, expectancy and momentum among the membership, chamber staff and regional business community.
Day to Day oversight of:
Strategic and Annual Planning: Work with the Board and staff to develop and annually update the Chamber’s Strategic Plan and work plan.
Advocacy and Communication: Develop meaningful relationships and communication with elected officials to provide information and advocacy on behalf of the Chamber’s members and mission. Act as the chief spokesperson for the Chamber and communicate the organization’s position on community, public and political issues.
Business and Economic Development: Maintain and enhance relationships with other regional and state-wide marketing partners/economic development leaders, and other key organizations at the community, county and state levels.
Chamber Staff and Volunteers: Responsible for employment, assignment of duties, supervision, evaluation, training and leadership of all Chamber staff and volunteers.
Fiscal Management: Develop the annual Chamber budget and monthly oversight.
Destination Marketing Management: Oversee Destination Marketing Contracts for the Town of Yountville and NVTID – Yountville
Constituent Relationships: Responsible for ongoing interaction and liaison with a wide constituency including:
Partner Relationships: Work to maintain and/or initiate effective working relationships with aligned organizations within the Napa Valley and on a state and national basis. Key organizations include other Chambers in the Napa Valley, Visit Napa Valley, Napa Valley Vintners, Napa Valley Grapegrowers, and Cal Chamber and the Western Association of Chamber Executives.
Media: Serve as the official spokesperson of the Chamber to the public at large and to the local and regional print and digital media.
Membership: Oversee activities related to ensuring membership satisfaction and retention.
