Position Summary

As a Physical Therapist at Bay Area Hospital, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life. You’ll evaluate patients, develop personalized care plans, administer treatments, and adjust plans as needed to ensure positive outcomes.

We welcome new graduates and Physical Therapists from non-acute care backgrounds who are eager to learn and grow in an acute care setting. Comprehensive support and training will be provided to help you transition into this rewarding role.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to establish physical therapy goals and treatment plans.
  • Develop individualized care plans in alignment with physician orders, implementing appropriate modalities and techniques.
  • Assess treatment effectiveness, making adjustments to achieve patient goals.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers to support recovery and health goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and successful discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation that meets clinical, organizational, and reimbursement standards.
  • Oversee and support care provided by physical therapy assistants.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct peer evaluations and mentor new hires and students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Education/Certifications/Licenses/Degrees

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Oregon (or be willing to obtain).
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience

  • At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care setting is preferred, but new graduates and PTs without acute care experience are encouraged to apply.
