Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Mezcal category is EXPLODING. The smokey allure of mezcal continues to draw new consumers in ­— Are you ready to join the mezcal boom? Here at Fósforo Mezcal, we are looking to continue our expansion into the Northern California agave market with the help of a superstar sales representative based in Northern California. This is a boots-on-the-ground position that will work independently, with our CA sales team, and our distributor partners to drive new sales and volume at existing accounts, exceed monthly and quarterly sales and training targets, and introduce Fósforo to new markets in Northern California. This role will be responsible for driving all sales as the Market Manager- with your top priority being to increase sales volume at both on and off premise channels, while building your network of distribution partners and managing key and existing accounts. Beverage alcohol industry experience is not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Build and develop the highest quality of distribution in both on and off premise channels.

· Own and close against a target list of accounts in both channels.

· Develop and maintain effective relationships with accounts and distributor partners — drive sales, events, and awareness at all levels of accounts.

· Schedule and conduct brand trainings, tastings, and trade shows with restaurant staff, liquor store employees, and chain locations to maximize sales and education.

· Merchandize shelves and ensure proper bottle positioning in both channels.

· Provide feedback on: pricing, programming, incentives, and market response.

· Other duties as needed within the scope of a traditional Sales Representative role.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree required.

· Independent self-starter and problem-solver, who thrives in a high-paced environment.

· Beverage Alcohol experience a plus, but not required.

· Eager to pound the pavement and visit accounts (90% of role on the move).

· Organized planner who can multitask multiple work streams. Drive sales while building your network.

· Relationship builder with strong customer service skills, and a "Can-do" attitude.

· Willingness to Drive/travel throughout the NorCal territory.

· Preferred living locations: San Francisco, Oakland, East Bay, San Jose, or surrounding areas.
