Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Reports To: President

Summary of Job Purpose:

Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, equipment, and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads and trains maintenance staff in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
• Implements a Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Program for production and support equipment.
• Communicates daily status of machine downtime and repair activities.
• Coordinates with production and quality departments to address equipment issues.
• Leads root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Ensures the accuracy of the computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Orders necessary equipment, materials, and supplies for the maintenance department.
• Directs and schedules training for maintenance technicians.
• Prepares department budget and monitors expenditures for compliance.
• Evaluates problems, allocates resources, and makes decisions based on expertise.
• Adheres to company rules, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains safety as the highest priority in all tasks.

Specialized Skills:

• Experience in continuous improvement in heavy manufacturing.
• Knowledge of the aluminum extrusion process.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic PLC knowledge and troubleshooting skills using RSLogix 5, 500, and 5000.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and solutions.
• Understanding of capital and expense budgets and operations planning.

Education and Experience:

• Two-year technical degree in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a maintenance manager in a heavy manufacturing facility.
