Job Description

Our Client, a major global advertising company is actively seeking a self-motivated and analytical M&A Accounting Manager to join their staff. In this role, the M&A Accounting Specialist will be responsible for coordination of financial reporting for newly acquired companies.

Responsibilities
The M&A Accounting Manager will:
-Analyze financial statements from assigned acquisitions
-Document and track results against budget and follow up with assigned acquisitions
-Analyze and compare prospective M&A transactions and investments under the direction of transaction leaders, including strategic and financial impacts and risks.
-Develop and maintain internal tools and processes for tracking all active, inactive, and closed M&A deal activities.
-Obtain business variance explanations for deviations from budget
-Prepare and map month-end journal entries to the General Ledger
-Assist M&A deal leads with several work streams for live transactions, including use of confidential information memorandum, coordination of the Q&A process and due diligence effort with internal subject matter experts and external consultants.
-Meet with other administrative disciplines to ensure successful on-boarding and integration endeavors.
-This role will primarily focus on providing accounting and SEC matters related to M&A and other planned initiatives.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting
-6-8 years' experience in accounting
-Must have four plus years of M&A Accounting
-Experience with divestiture alternatives and accounting and financial reporting issues for divestiture.
-Experience with ASC 805 to help improve deal evaluation
-Valuation and business modeling
-Balance Sheet Analysis
-Experience with Complex capital structures and valuation complexities
-Understanding of US GAAP
-Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point) proficiency
-Proficient in P&L analytics
-Ability to multitask
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Highly organized
Location: NYC
Compensation: 140k-160k plus Bonus and all Benefits
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 150,000.00 Per Year
