Job Description

Clayton Services is searching for a Logistics Manager to join a thriving company in Northwest Houston.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $90,000-$125,000

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and more.

Logistics Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics operations, including but not limited to ocean imports, domestic transportation, warehousing, and last-mile delivery
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely and compliant importing
  • Support and collaborate with sales and operations teams, providing accurate delivery schedules and shipping documentation
  • Track and report on logistic KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement in cost, lead times, and service levels
  • Oversee logistics workflows and support documentation for shipments
  • Maintain and develop relations with 3PL partners, trucking carriers, and warehouse providers
  • Work with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment of logistics and production plans
  • Implement and develop logistics processes in Oracle ERP
  • Maintain data accuracy across all systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Logistics Manager Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Oracle ERP or a similar ERP system proficiency

Logistics Manager Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin preferred
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or operations management position is required
  • Previous experience working for a high-volume manufacturing company is highly desired
  • Previous experience with international shipping and import compliance is required
  • Previous experience working with Southeast Asia and China is highly desired
