HRIM Assistant (Pittsburgh, PA Locals ONLY. NO RELOCATION. / H1B Visa Sponsorship Available)

Job at a Glance

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-sufficient HRIM Assistant for a 15-month temporary assignment with no extension or conversion possibility . This role is focused on data entry, reporting, and procedural HR system tasks . The primary responsibility is ensuring that weekly and biweekly HR reports are accurate, compliant, and distributed on schedule. The ideal candidate will have HRIS experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with PeopleSoft .

This is a 100% onsite role in downtown Pittsburgh to start. Once trained, the team may allow 1-2 remote days per week . The position follows a business professional dress code and is part of a small, hands-on team that will provide training and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute scheduled HR reports (weekly, biweekly, monthly, and quarterly).
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in reports before distribution.
  • Perform HR data entry related to job, position, and pay changes in the HR system.
  • Utilize Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, sorting, etc.) for data management and reporting.
  • Assist with audit requests by retrieving historical reports and verifying HR data.
  • Work closely with the HRIM team to ensure compliance with reporting standards.
  • Maintain and update HR system tables and assist with organizational chart development (Microsoft Visio).
  • Support HCM upgrade initiatives by providing accurate data and reports.
  • Assist with approval documentation for pay and title changes.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in HRIS, HR reporting, or a related role.
  • Experience with relational databases (PeopleSoft preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel – must be comfortable with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and sorting functions.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and HTML Publisher tools is a plus.
  • Attention to detail is critical – reports must be accurate and compliant.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
