Job Summary –
This position is responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining all the BCBSMS facilities and grounds along with equipment and furniture moves. Completing assigned Facilities Request Forms on time and accurately. Coordinating and assisting with workstation relocations, meeting room setups and teardowns, and coordinating with facility and grounds vendors daily to ensure actions are in line with expectations. This position is a hands-on position addressing tasks such as caulking, painting, minor plumbing repairs, replacing ceiling tiles, replacing light bulbs, repairing doors, and picking up trash and limbs off the grounds. This position requires some project management with occasional weekend and after hours support to oversee projects. The position will coordinate closely with the Facilities Services Team Lead, under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
Job-Specific Requirements
  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Basic PC skills required (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Must have good driving record and valid Mississippi driver’s license.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask, address multiple issues at a time.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work with their hands.
  • Ability to work in various environments such as heat, cold weather, rain or snow.
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing 70 pounds or more and the ability to carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to work in an occasionally noisy environment with proper hearingprotection.
  • Have a 24/7 support mentality.
