We are seeking an Environmental Manager based in our Ranson factory to join the team. The Environmental Manager plays a crucial role in advancing ROCKWOOL's commitment to sustainability by managing the Environmental Management System (EMS) and ensuring the facility complies with all environmental permits and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. Responsibilities include ensuring the plant operates within its air, Title V, and other permits at all times, completing annual reporting and submissions to WVDEP/EPA by deadlines, developing and maintaining stormwater, spill prevention, hazardous waste contingency, and dust control plans, participating in the implementation of new raw materials that may impact environmental approvals, daily evaluation of environmental data to prevent process changes, weekly reporting of environmental KPIs, training managers on legislative requirements, conducting internal audits, ensuring employees comply with environmental requirements, and inspiring continuous improvement of the EMS. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field (or equivalent experience), minimum 3 years managing environmental programs in manufacturing or industrial settings, strong knowledge of Title V air permit compliance, commitment to sustainability, and certifications in RCRA Hazardous Waste procedures and NREP preferred. Physical demands include occasional reaching, sitting, squatting, walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
