Job Summary:

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Director of Talent Acquisition to lead a high-performing team of recruiters focused on attracting, engaging and hiring top healthcare talent. This leader plays a vital role in advancing our mission to care for life, research for health, and educate those who serve.

Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, this role is responsible for driving a data-informed, candidate-centered recruitment strategy aligned with Cleveland Clinic's workforce planning priorities. The Director will lead recruiters assigned to strategic service lines or markets, ensuring operational excellence, lean management, service-level agreement (SLA) adherence, and consistent execution of hiring goals.

Cleveland Clinic's Talent Acquisition team is nationally recognized among the top in the healthcare industry. In this role, you will shape candidate engagement and pipeline development strategies while collaborating closely with our TA Partners, HR Services, Compensation, Recruitment Marketing & Events, and the Caregiver Experience team.

Together with the TA leadership team, the Director will co-create and implement scalable recruiting solutions and TA caregiver development plans that enhance quality, efficiencies, and experience across clinical and non-clinical functions strengthening Cleveland Clinic's workforce and its commitment to excellence.

A caregiver in this role works Monday-Friday on-site at our Cleveland Clinic Administrative Campus, with minimal travel required.

This position is eligible for relocation assistance.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Build, lead and manage a team of client recruiters on the day-to-day execution for all recruiting and sourcing assignments.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly recruiting flow, processes and key metrics to adjust tactics and guide recruiters to achieve goals.
• Develop strategies to address immediate, and to anticipate and respond to long-range, recruiting needs, based on established metrics, market indicators and pre-determined goals.
• Work with Talent Acquisition Partners via results-focused and strong communication practices to meet the clinical and business priorities and staffing needs for job families and areas.
• Partner with TA Marketing to effectively define and utilize Recruitment Marketing strategies, campaigns and tactics to build a robust talent pipeline and candidate pool.
• Identify critical hiring needs and leverage talent pipelines utilizing sourcing channels.
• Evaluate and improve Candidate Experience from job posting through Interview phase.
• Drive recruiter accountability and performance and provide ongoing coaching and development to improve individual and team performance.
• Manage weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence and flow of information to recruiting managers, TA leadership, HR business partners, and other recruiting stakeholders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with HR standards for The Joint Commission (TJC), State Department of Health and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). Serve as the department liaison to representatives from visiting regulatory agencies.
• Proactively identify targeted talent communities based upon function and geographies for ongoing recruitment.
• Manage, grow, motivate and energize team and function.
• Serve as a thought partner on talent market trends, system hiring gaps and future workforce needs.
• Drive recruiter accountability, development and performance improvement through coaching, metrics and workflow clarity.
• Elevate candidate experience and hiring manager satisfaction through continuous feedback and process refinement.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, nursing, healthcare administration or related field.
• Minimum of seven years of Human Resources high volume hiring experience focused on candidate sourcing and generation, including a minimum of three years of management experience.
• OR master's degree and minimum of five years of human resources high volume hiring experience focused on candidate sourcing and generation, including a minimum of three years of management experience.
• Healthcare talent acquisition expertise: leading high-volume clinical and/or specialized healthcare recruitment functions, with strong familiarity with corporate, lab, respiratory therapy, IT, imaging and additional Allied Health roles. Experience leading and directing an operation that has been responsible for a minimum of 15,000 hires per year.
• Strategic Thinking + Operational Execution: Proven success designing and executing enterprise-wide TA strategies, including workforce planning, pipeline development, and process optimization.
• Leadership & Coaching: A people-first leader who builds psychological safety, develops future-ready teams, and fosters a culture of accountability, trust, and inclusion. Experience mentoring recruiters and elevating team performance is essential.
• Data Fluency: Ability to interpret dashboards and KPIs to guide decisions, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in recruiter performance and candidate experience.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
• Workday experience.
• Lean or continuous improvement experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Ability to travel throughout the hospital system. For some roles, ability to travel to other locations, including international travel.
• Ability to operate a computer, audio visual and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information, including the ability to deliver any applicable training in person and virtually.
• In some locations, ability to move up to 25 lbs.
