Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Director of Estimating (Processing Plant Projects) to support a leading company in the energy sector. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to take on high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates, ensuring alignment with project objectives, and supporting strategic decision-making in a growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements, scope, and specifications.
  • Analyze project documentation, including drawings, contracts, and technical documents, to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Utilize industry-specific software and tools to create cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction specialists to ensure estimates align with project goals.
  • Identify potential risks that could impact project costs and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop estimate plans, reports, and presentations detailing assumptions, methodologies, and constraints.
  • Assist in bid proposal development by providing cost estimates and supporting documentation.
  • Continuously monitor and update project estimates to ensure accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project review meetings, providing insights into cost-related matters and making adjustments as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of project control processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in compiling historical data and benchmarking information for estimate comparison and analysis.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in estimating and project controls within construction, engineering, or a related industry.
  • Experience in the LNG industry preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in project estimation software, cost modeling tools, and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and trends related to cost estimation and project controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

This position is 100% onsite, with 50% travel required.
