The Data Engineer will build and maintain data pipelines to support data warehouse environments and data analytics. This person will be responsible for managing and optimizing data processing systems and producing reports and dashboards to management. The Data Engineer will also be responsible for training junior data analysts and engineers on existing technology environments and new technologies. The ideal person will be able to manage data and possesses cloud deployment experience (Azure).

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Data Warehouse and advanced data analytics solutions.
• Develop ETL pipelines to transform and load data efficiently into the Data Warehouse.
• Package and deploy releases and changes to pre and post-production environments while testing the releases through technical and business validation.
• Conduct regular testing to identify bugs/performance issues and ensure it works smoothly.
• Lead data pipeline execution, testing, cutover, and data modernization solution while identifying opportunities for automating tasks.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet non-functional and functional business requirements, best practices, and standards for data warehouse support engineering.
• Build Data Flows mapping Source systems and Process flows and work with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end user needs to be translated into technical solutions while monitoring scheduled production related tasks in the system(s) and resolving any questions or issues as needed to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Guide and train two Junior Data Analysts on data management best practices and the use of Azure data services, fostering their growth and capability in data engineering and analytics.

Education & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree is required
• Bilingual in English & Spanish (written, verbal) is required
• 5-7+ years’ experience in data engineering creating data pipelines
• 5-7+ years’ experience in managing data within cloud and data warehouse environments
• Must be able to build frameworks for data ingestion pipeline both real time and batch using best practices in data modeling
• Previous experience with reports/visualization is required (PowerBI, Tableau)

Plus:

• Azure certifications are a plus (Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate)
