Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Analyst

(Onsite: Dallas or Miami)

$41-$53/hr W2 | 4-month contract (possible extension) | Immediate need

About the Role:

Join an enterprise risk and emergency management team focused on keeping operations running through severe weather, crisis events, and the unexpected. You'll play a hands-on role in supporting business continuity planning, crisis event response, and ongoing program development across a multi-site, national organization.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and manage emergency alerts and notifications (using AlertMedia and other systems) for severe storms, wildfires, and other business-impacting events.
• Assess alerts, determine when escalation/action is needed, and help coordinate responses with the BC/DR lead.
• Conduct business impact analyses, risk assessments, and support the full business continuity lifecycle (planning, documentation, training, exercises, improvement).
• Help design and run tabletop exercises and emergency management drills for staff across offices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure records are kept current in the business continuity management system (BCMS).
• Support site-level crisis management-including HR check-ins, safety notifications, and follow-up for impacted associates and offices.
• Stay up to speed on core applications (AlertMedia, BCMS, emergency notification systems); prior experience a plus.
• Rotate as part of a multi-person response team, including reviewing incoming alerts, monitoring for urgent issues, and supporting the BC lead.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of practical, hands-on experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management
• Experience supporting crisis events, running or assisting with recovery exercises, and keeping documentation/processes up to date.
• Strong communicator and collaborator-comfortable coordinating with IT, HR, business units, and crisis management teams.
• Familiarity with AlertMedia, BCMS, or similar emergency notification/business continuity tools is a plus.
• Local and willing to be onsite in Dallas or Miami 5-days per week/in-office, and able to support after-hours or weekend emergency response if needed for weekly/semi-weekly rotation.
• Trained in or knowledgeable about the full business continuity lifecycle (DRII, BCI standards), but certifications are not required.
