Job Title: Account Manager – Automotive Diagnostic Tools

Overview:

Seeking a results-driven professional to develop and execute account management strategies for automotive diagnostic tool sales. This individual will build relationships with new and existing clients in the automotive repair industry, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to expand market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Growth : Develop and implement tailored sales plans across various channels (e.g., mobile distributors, warehouse distributors, parts stores).
  • Pricing & Promotions : Create regional pricing strategies and negotiate promotional activities to grow customer accounts.
  • Client Development : Identify, engage, and secure new clients through networking, cold calling, and other lead-generation tactics.
  • Technical Training : Schedule and conduct product training for both resellers and end users, ensuring accurate knowledge transfer.
  • Product Expertise : Utilize strong automotive electrical systems knowledge to advise clients on optimal product usage.
  • Performance Tracking : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on business outcomes.

  • 2–3 years of automotive aftermarket or automotive repair sales experience (or equivalent education/experience).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for trade shows and client visits.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based in Charlotte, NC (daily on-site presence required).
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
