Job Description

We are interviewing experienced Import Representatives to manage and coordinate the logistics of goods being imported from overseas, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery. In this role you will manage import documentation, track shipments, and liaise with carriers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations. Also involves verifying purchase orders, maintaining accurate pricing records, and organizing import-related data using tools like spreadsheets. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication are key to succeeding in this position.

What You'll Do:

As an Imports Assistant, you'll play a key part in keeping our supply chain running smoothly. From handling import documents to tracking containers on their journey to the U.S., you'll ensure everything is on point. Plus, you'll double-check purchase orders and pricing like a pro and keep everything organized with spreadsheets.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Coordinate with carriers, brokers, freight carriers and domestic transporters to keep things moving.
  • Update spreadsheets and monitor import shipments like a boss.
  • Verify records and make sure everything complies with company standards.
  • Handle key import docs like customs forms and delivery instructions.
  • File, track, and prep reports on all shipments, update purchase orders-we're talking spreadsheets galore.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: An associate's degree in Marketing or a related field is awesome but not required.
  • Experience: Got 1-3 years in a similar role? Perfect. If you've got 3-5, even better. Seeking a strong understanding of Ocean, Air, Rail and OTR Freight documentation and regulation standards as well as experienced with import forms such as Importer Security filing forms, Customs clearance forms and delivery instruction documentation.
  • Skills: Know your way around Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. As well as inventory specific programs such as SAP, Oracle, CargoWise, or Editrade, Bonus points if you're a whiz with spreadsheets.
