Job Description

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking Manufacturing Planners to join one of our large aerospace clients in San Antonio, TX. This is a 100% on-site role where engineers will be working on a production floor environment and frequently boarding aircrafts. In this role you will collaborate with Liaison Engineering and Mechanic teams when any non-conformance arise. This person will be responsible for taking dispositions from Liaison Engineering and translating it into a build plan to line out step-by-step instructions for Mechanics to follow, while referencing engineering drawings and inspection points.

Position Responsibilities:

· Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.

· Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.

· Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.

· Leads and implements manufacturing plans.

· Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

· Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.

· Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.

· Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.

· Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

· Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.

· Implement lean principles and technologies.

Requirements:

· 5+ years of experience translating requirements from Liaison engineering and putting them into a sequences plan/build plan in a manufacturing or aerospace environment

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

· Software experience: GoldEsp or any MES (manufacturing execution systems), ability to navigate any 3D software (CATIA, etc.)

· Understand and navigate engineering drawings and BOM (bill or materials)

· Aerospace experience

Preferred:

· Previous experience compiling tools lists needed for projects

· Experience annotating 3D graphics

· Structures experience/ floor experience as a mechanic or quality role

· Bachelors in Engineering

Compensation:

$45/hr to $60/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
