Advice RN - Nurse Advice Call Center at Providence summary:

The Advice RN in the Nurse Advice Call Center triages incoming calls, assesses patient needs, and provides appropriate healthcare advice and referrals. This role involves educating callers on immediate health concerns, risk factors, and wellness behaviors. The position requires a registered nursing license and experience in acute or ambulatory care settings.

Description

Under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager, this position is responsible for triaging incoming calls, assessing needs and providing appropriate healthcare options including facilitating referral to primary providers, health care facilities and community resources. In addition, this position will be responsible for educating the caller regarding immediate health care advice, possible health related risks, as well as wellness/prevention behaviors and opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.
  • Case management or acute care experience in a healthcare setting
  • 2 years of Acute or ambulatory nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing or related field.
  • 2 years of Case management or acute care experience in a healthcare setting
  • 7 years of Acute or ambulatory nursing experience
