Activity Director Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Certification completion
  • Must possess one of the following credentials: MEPAP 1, ADC, CDP, or CTRS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care, as a supervisor
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary team
  • Developing care plans, monitoring systems and all documentation requirements
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance programs, State survey processes, Residents’ Rights
  • Supervising the Recreation Department personnel
  • Creating, planning, implementing monthly calendars and newsletters
  • Follow budgetary guidelines for the department
  • Assist with creating, planning, and implementing Facility Event Calendar for staff
  • Computer knowledge
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Creating person-centered large and small group programs, hospitality, and special sensory activities
